Der Herr der Fiebersümpfe ("The Lord of the Fever-Swamps") is the 265th issue of Spuk Geschichten ("Haunted Stories"), a German comic anthology series primarily following the exploits of the 17th century demon hunter Arsat.

In the eponymous main story, Arsat, Carmilla and Gino are confronted with a peasant woman seeking their help when they travel along a swamp area. She tells them that Swamp-Demons have assaulted their house and kidnapped her daughter, Violetta. Arsat decides to set out to find them. In an ambush by the human like swamp demons Carmillas Magical Amulet gets stolen. The Swamp Demons are beaten back but manage to escape with the amulet, they bring it to their leader who was just about to sacrifice Violetta to awaken a gigantic monster statue to life. With the amulet the sacrifice is no longer recquired, they awaken the giant and lead it into the swamp to deal with Arsat, leaving Violetta behind, bound to the altar. Whent he Giant attacks Arsat, Carmilla and Gino the latter are separated from Arsat. They find the cave the demons call home and Violetta, still on the altar, setting her free.
