Those About to Die is the 34th story of the British spy-thriller series "Modesty Blaise" running from 1963 to 2002 (both as comic strips in newspapers and full story volumes). The Series focuses on the adventures of the eponymous former criminal working for the british secret service.
Description
When several high profile martial arts masters, fencers and other athletes are kidnapped all over the World, Modesty Blaise and Willie Garvin get involved in the matter. After Willie disappears too, seemingly taken by the same kidnappers Modesty manages to track the disappearances to the mansion of millionaire who wants to hold a party of the century, involving gladitorial combat mimicing roman times. Just when Modesty has found the captives wants to leave the extensive estate of the millionaire she is discovered and taken captive. Her hands bound behind her back she is sat into a miniature mountain train car, transported back to where the others gladiators are kept and forced to also don a roman gladiatrix outfit to fight in the arena.
